One thing for sure is that each one of the team needs to look into their heart and decide whether they will accept this state of affairs or refuse to fold.
because of track record of keeping guys that had no business leaving early is so stellar this century ?
What needs to happen is that someone in the department needs to bring in Tex Schramm-type, someone with NFL exec experience but no current ties who can come talk to the team with no possible repercussions. And that speaker's message needs to be, "All of this half ass effort you guys are putting out this year is on tape for the NFL scouts to see. The guys who have draft-worthy skills; you guys are falling in the draft right now. The guys who are undrafted free agent types...you're turning off the scouts. One way or another, you're all losing money."
It’s getting to the point where I can’t even imagine Stevens leaving this year. Terrace is gone, but that should be it. I wouldn’t take Stevens in the 7th round after this year. Even Cox should be staying another year.
Marshall will be a first rounder, but right now I'd say he's the only guy eligible to come out that can be certain of being drafted at all. Maybe Ingram.
