I thought it would speed up once the weekend was over. Not so. Is there a problem or is the site just overwhelmed with viewers? (not really sure who I'm asking this question to).
There are over 400 on the forum right now, though only 135 or so here in The Den. With all the 'controversy' from the whiners I doubt it will let up for a couple of days. Of course, depending on the vB settings options it also depends on how admin has those set; there could be more than just the members numbers on here that I can 'see' (depends on permissions), there *could* be hundreds of search bots/spiders crawling around the forums (google/yahoo/ask/etc) further slowing things.... depends on internet searches being done by others worldwide... so that can slow the server as well.
Success breeds tag-a-longs. These are probably some of the same bunch who sold their tickets to the SECCG. I, like a lot of us here on the other hand, are true purple and gold bleeding fans, who have stuck with our Tigers for years. Even through the slim ones. By being there all along, it makes this achievement all that much sweeter. Those, the tag-a-longs, will never feel the same sense of satisfaction as the rest of us. FYI: I'm a chick, too. LSU seems to have an abundance of women who are just as radical about their love for LSU as guys. I am the first girl born in over 100 years in my Dad's family so I had to watch football practically since birth.... My daughter goes to FSU but loves LSU more and will go to graduate school there next year. :crystal::geaux:
