Probably the most horrible thing I've ever read about parents...

Don't tell Red that. Only the religious are pro-life, in his eyes.

There is an important difference between a fetus and a child.

Yes, people want to have a child. When it suddenly becomes too inconvenient to have, it becomes a fetus.

This is quickly needing to move to FSA (which I avoid like the plague)...

Killing an unborn baby goes against every motherly instinct that thousands of years of evolution have instilled in us. Going against your evolutionary nature is a BAD idea when it comes to things this big. It destroys society. Buddhists didn't come up with this whole "don't go against your nature" stuff without some truth behind it. Yes, I have a lot of respect for the moral ideas that religions have captured, refined, and instilled through the generations. Religion was a good hypothesis many years ago, but is just scientifically wrong and it is time to move on.

Mother's working full time (don't have a kid if you won't raise it) and kids not being taught by their parents (sorry, the parents need to spend time with their kids teaching them instead of plopping them in public school for 7 hours, that is how we evolved) also go against our nature and should be minimized in our society instead of glorified. But the effect of radical feminism on society is another topic entirely... :)

Changing things just because it makes you feel good is not a good idea if you have not thought through all of the the ramifications. It feels good to be free of that baby when you made a mistake. It feels good to be able to have it all (work and family) and renege on the commitment you made when you had a child. It feels good get away from those screaming monsters that you have no control over because society taught you the wrong way to raise them. Liberalism is about immature selfishness and not about doing what is well thought out and what is "right".

And yes, most atheists being leftists drives me freaking bananas as this unprovoked rant probably proves...

I disagree. I think what he said is pretty accurate.

He does not know the difference between an embryo, a fetus and a child.

    Who made you the umpire?

Oh, forgive me, Semantics Man! He/she is an embryo up to the end of the second month of development. About the time he/she develops recognizable features like arms and legs, he/she is called a fetus. Either way, we're talking about early pre-natal development. And in its "Civil Liberties" section, about.com suggests
That would cover embryo and fetus. No difference, in the eyes of the pro-baby killers.

Oh, I got it. Special babies cost more, so if they would have known, they could have 86'd it and started over. Like a video game.
