Congrats to 3 Saints for making it to the ProBowl. Drew, Will Smith, and Jamal Brown. Nice to see Will and Jamal getting respect from the rest of the league.
Will Smith was certainly a pleasant surprise. Marques Colston would have made it at one of the WR slots if he had remained healthy all season.
T.O. should have made it... Leads the NFL in TD receptions... Colston should have also. I find it hard to believe that the 4 scrubs they have out there are the 4 best. They ALL are from losing teams, thus, they pad their stats, because their teams are always in must-throw situations.
Colston should have made the pro bowl. Steve Smith and Driver don't belong there. They got there on name recognition only. The Pro Bowl is total bull****. Tony Romo? You've got to be kiddin me.
T.O. is deservedly left out for two reasons. One, for his inconsistent play. Whether he leads the league in touchdowns or not, he's still dropped way too many passes and hasn't been as much of a force as he's been in the past. Two, I really believe his antics played a big part. The coaches, players, and fans are simply fed up with his behavior on and off the field. He is no All-Pro. Personally, I think he should be out of the league, but that's just me and a lot of other people. I agree regarding Colston, but then again, his injury really hurt him there, as it did for Shaun Alexander. Besides, I think Colston will make the trip plenty of times in the future and going to the Pro Bowl as a rookie, I think, puts way too much pressure on the sophomore season.
...and in drops (last time i checked) sure TO has won the girls some games...but dropping wide open passes has lost them a few also
I agree. Even though he hasn't played a full season, he kinda deserves the nod, because like you said, who else is going to go? Certainly not Grossman, Hasselbeck was injured, Favre is way out of his prime, McNabb got injured...the list goes on. Not to mention that the Cowboys are a completely different team with Romo at the helm. Now, don't get me wrong, I think it's absolutely disgusting how the media has become so Romosexual and is ready to annoint him as the second-coming of Christ, but if one were to look at it objectively, he is deserving.
Steve Smith has basically won the Panthers 2-3 games this year. After Delhomme went down, so did Smith's production. He def. deserves to be there.
I really don't think Romo is the answer. His delivery of the ball is unorthodox and will hamper his ability to be consistent. He looks like a gunslinger out there with the ball, hoping his receiver can make the play.
