First of all I want to acknowlege UT's OOC scheduling is much more reputable than ours. Having said that, how many games can Fulmer lose and it not be considered a failure? I ask cause he loses 3 to 6 games a year. Where does the handicap fall?

OOC only really matters if you lose...such as Michigan losing to Appy St, or USC losing to Stanford.

WAIT! I forgot Stanford moved up to D 1 into the Pac-10...my bad!:hihi:

    Clearly, they are explainable.

We called some people. Some said, "No way - we don't want to play you and injure our best players early on." Others said, "Of course we'd like to exceed our season gate take in one game in Tiger Stadium.

Get off your low horse, Vol.

It's hard to justify a SEC team not playing at least one OOC game against another school from a BCS conference.

Justify it to who? You? Again, step up off your low horse.

None of us are happy with LSU's 2008 OOC schedule, but there are clearly reasons for it, as well as a justification.

Money and money. Plain and simple.

Make as much hay as you can out of it, but it all boils down to money.

Oh, and thanks to the Vols for embarrassing the SEC against the PAC-10 powerhouse Cal, last year. If you're gonna get all uppity about OOC, at least SHOW UP! Jeezz...

We prefer not to give vBall that much easy ammo...

Well, at least they TRAVEL for OOC games. :hihi: If the Vols can't beat the gutties (local slang for bruins) this September, the Apocalypse is truly upon us. But hey, at least an SEC team will be playing in the Rose Bowl.

Kidding. Really. Anyone for a round of Rocky Top?

If you knew anything then you would know that we tried to schedule a number of schools from BCS conferences but they didn't want a piece of the tigers

I'll take my chances against a Pac-10 team over games with Appy ST,Troy,North Texas, and Tulane. Maybe Lloyd Carr can help you against Appy ST.

I'm not sure UCLA, UAB, Northern Illinois, and Wyoming are really worth crowing all that much about. But I guess now that your baseball season is over, you gotta get some self esteem from somewhere... :rolleye33:
