I think what is being missed here is that the ATF is full of cowboys who do what they want when they want and lie about it to cover their ass. I also believe the contempt thing is nothing more than a plot to keep Holder busy so the Republicans can continue with their voter suppression, and a way to stir up that wingnut base into thinking that the Obama administration is going to use this as a way to make firearms illegal. This whole thing is a bunch of crap, and the people at the ATF should be held accountable. When George Bush dropped the ole executive privilege bomb to save Karl Rove's ass, good ole Darrel Issa sure as hell didn't mind. Issa is getting his panties in a wad because 1 border patrol guy was killed, but never mind the thousands of soldiers killed for no reason under the Bush Administration during his personal wars.

Obama is not the president I thought he was going to be, although I am up on him as of late, he is still an elitist, but the GOP cares nothing about anyone who isn't rich. All they want to do is continue to destroy the middle class, and make their buddies richer. And the Supreme Corporatists, oops, Supreme Court and it's 5 corrupt assholes actually struck down a Montana law that denies corporations to donate unlimited money at the state and local level, when the State has a deep history of corruption with corporations and campaign money. Unreal, I mean it's like they just don't give a fuck how corrupt they are, and they do it all in the open and screw you, you can't touch us. The Republicans will not be satisfied until this county is turned into a corporation, America Inc. And the democrats are too fucking stupid and too cowardly to do anything about it, and probably about 60 percent corrupt themselves.

I long for the day when true progressive candidates that represent the middle class stands up to all of these assholes, and either run them out of this country or put them where they belong, behind bars.

This whole Fast And Furious thing is a huge win for Obama. the stupid fuck Republicans don't even see it. Every headline this thing gobbles up is one headline that is not talking about the sinking economy. Obama is hoping Fast and Furious dominates the enws cycle through this election.

    Amazing how misleading it is.

The First Amendment to the Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

The phrase "Separation of Church and State" comes from Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers and a writer of the US Constitution.

"I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State." -- Thomas Jefferson

The phrase was quoted by the United States Supreme Court as early 1878 and several times since, giving the phrase legal and constitutional legitimacy.

I think it's funny that Darrell Issa is calling ANYONE corrupt. Let's take a look at some allegations against the Chairman of Oversight.

    http://chicagocall.com/tag/darrell-issa/

It goes on and on, this dude is accusing someone of being corrupt, and has the balls to tell the parents of the border agent who was killed with guns from the fast and furious walk, that he cares and he is doing this for their son. This dude should be in jail and he is basically a government cop. I have no doubt in my mind that he is completely full of shit and drumming up anything he can to sway voters minds in an election season, and keep Eric Holder busy from filing suits about voter suppression.

The Republican mantra of today's GOP, lie your ass off, strike fear into the minds of voters, try and pass laws and lie to disenfranchise anyone who you think will not vote for you or your cronies, do whatever you can to benefit people who can help you stay in office, in return for their donations, you pass laws that benefit them and them only. Wage wars to further fund the military industrial complex. Do anything you can to strip basic rights of the American people. Privatize EVERYTHING. They are just like the Mafia....Your house is burning, Fuck you, pay me and we'll put it out, you are dying, fuck you, pay me and you can live, you want an education, fuck you pay me. If you aren't one of us, fuck you, freedom freedom freedom. Freedom to murder you financially, murder your rights, murder you and your family slowly, and get paid while doing it.

the progressives you hope for do not exist. only a libertarian bent on reducing the size of government will give you what you are looking for. any candidate tat promises to use government to help people will ruin things. the candidate you want is the candidate that will get the government out of the way. the government is not the solution, it is the problem. progressives are not what they say they are.

only ron paul is what he says he is....and he is crazy. we need a small government candidate who will do what he says....but can still get elected, in spite of being honest.

....obviously what we need is dick cheney. but everyone hates him. people hate honesty. people vote for lies. thats why you say obama wasnt what you expected. its insane that you ever thought he was anything other than what he is.

It is insane, and I think there are good progressives out there, but they are too few. Government is supposed to stick up for it's people, to fight for people who can't fight for themselves, not be a way to make a handful of people more rich, and more powerful while stepping on everyone else. America is becoming France during the Louis XVI reign. Maybe it's gonna take a revolution for the people to take the power back, and get money out of politics. It really scares me, that if Mitt Romney wins, what will happen with the Supreme Court. We already have 3 completely corrupt, and even criminal Supreme Court justices, just think of what will happen when Mitt Romney selects 2 more. This country is doomed.

The biggest problem with Fast And Furious was not the ATF. It was Arizona gun laws and federal prosecutors interpretation of those laws and subsequent directions to NOT make arrests and seizures. That story is not being told though. The death of the agent is as much on the NRA as it is the federal bureaucracy. And this is coming from a supporter of gun rights...
