The only thing I've got to say ... and I said it on another thread ....

LSU is going to HAVE to cover Richardson comming out of the backfield on pass plays.!! I've seen it in BOTH games I've watched with Bama ... Ol Piss and TN. McCarron readily hit Richardson on this play in both games and everytime it amounted to significant gains. The guy really is dangerous in the open field.

HEY Chavis ... if you ever get wind of these boards (which I'm sure you don't), PLEASE make sure your defensive ploy includes coverage of this little wrinkle!!!!!

In case you didn't see the '09 Bama/LSU game,or don't remember what happened, let me refresh your memory:

LSU had a few runs past the 1st down marker that somehow were marked off a few yards shy of the 1st down marker forcing punts.

An obvious INT was negated and Bama given the ball back.

A very gracious spot on a LSU penalty gave Bama a 4th and 1 instead of what should've been a 4th and 3 or more.

A blatant no-call personal foul spear in to the chest of JJ that put him out of the game.

Those are just the bad calls that I can remember off the top of my head. But you're right, one bad call shouldn't change the outcome of a game, but I think this shows more than just a blown call... more like a conspiracy to ensure Bamas place in the '09 BCSNC.

Maybe Chavis and his defensive staff will find out by some other means about this...if only they had some videotape of the Alabama offense, or something..:D

Mc Carrion ... is good for 6 or 7 or more short completions to TR every game ... It is greatly SKEWING this dude's statistics making him look like a great QB ... Fact is, he hits these short high % passes because he can't hit anything else consistently ...

I'm sure Chavis don't need any help from us, but he'll make sure that TR is hit "IN THE MOUTH" the second he touches ANY SHORT PASS ... I'm looking for one or two of these to get pick-sixed and maybe even a fumble or two ... Look for Reid or Loston to annihilate this guy on a play or two

Did you get a hard-on hearing those pads crack when LSU opened up on Auburn and stuck it in WARP DRIVE?:D

Trent Richardson's gotta focus on that ball when he makes the catch behind the line ... he's human ... and in that time an LSU headhunter will be laying the wood on him ... Alabama's formations when TR goes for a pass ARE SO DAMNED PREDICTABLE

then there was the obvious block in the back that allowed a simple pass to julio jones go for a touchdown

    Yeah ... Mctiger .. I know ....

It's just that I'm sure TN had video of it as well .... and well, Bama did it anyway, and nobody was anywhere near TR. It was the momentum changer of the game.

It's a nice little play. TR hangs back like he's blocking, let's the progressing line come up to him, then slips through and out for the catch.

I'm not much on shadowing someone, but in this case, I would have someone waiting for it. To be honest, Honey Badger would be a great candidate for this, because anticipating this play could lead to pick 6 all night long.

Shutting it down would force McCarron to throw down field, and I think that is just plain dangerous for him against LSU.

Another good addition to this... which is my point. That game didn't have a bad call or two that changed the outcome of the game. It was a blatant example of one team being screwed all night for the benefit of the other, sad thing here is that that game was too close for how bad LSU got screwed.

Colonel Blake: [to Spearchucker Jones at the football practice] I had another idea. I think we should have some plays. You know, usually in football you have some organized plays.
    Spearchucker: I took the liberty.
    Colonel Blake: Oh, you have...
Spearchucker: I drew up about seven or eight plays. I figure that's about all this bunch can handle.
Colonel Blake: Oh, these are good. These are very good. Uh, what are these little arrows here?
