I think there are 3 main reasons that LSU wins this game: 1. Experience at QB. Not only have both of our senior QBs won big games for us, but they have both played at BDS. The importance of having an experienced & capable back-up QB in a match-up like this can't be overstated. 2. Field position. Brad Wing...enough said. 3. PJ Lonergan. All healed up and well-rested for his return to the line, which will enable LSU's power-running game to be established. Too many playmakers to focus on for the bama defense. They can't just key in on one guy because there are 10 more that they need to be worried about.
i've got lots of family that are bama fans and nov.5th is gonna be ugly for them. half of them wanted to kik my ass after lsu beat em last yr and the other half wouldn't talk to me for a few weeks lol!!GEAUX TIGERS!!
I sense a lot of internal animosity here. May I suggest on your next visit to T-Town, the Bear Bryant museum. Just want to help you get your thinking out of the abstract.
this is my one and only worry. had this discussion just today. these are two very evenly matched teams and will be a great game. i do not want to see a repeat of the peterson non-interception incident. was listening college sports radio today. a caller was talking about how evenly matched they were and wondered after what lsu did to auburn, tho we had three starters out, what the over under is on how much sleep per night saban is gonna get for the next two weeks. the host of the radio show replied "sleep? i wonder if he is even gonna blink?" :hihi:
I dont really factor in special teams that often but even if Bama does score, we'll get the ball around the 35 and worst case Bama will get it back deep in their territory. That's pretty big in a game like this one.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh ... Saban might hear you and have terrible nightmares! I called the Hilliard action this past saturday after seeing Hilliard for only one dive play late in the third Qtr ... They will play him at Bama! Can you see Hilliard as the up back on those quick dives up the gut inside the tackles ... and ware threatening off tackle runs going behind Blackwell and Faulk ... and play action when we sell the run and sucker those safeties in Or even better ... Hilliard is a good blocker and quicker than Stampley or Copeland ... and leading into the hole taking out the LBs with Ware slashing behind him ... I see this late in the game wearing Bama out TD LSU! And Bingeaux was his nameaux!
My favorite one ... One job of a coach is to prepare teams after a bye week ... It is a known fact that Saban hates bye weeks! WHAT SABAN'S RECORD after a bye week at Bama? 2007: Loss to LSU ... 41 - 34 2008: Beat Ole Piss 24 - 20 2008: Beat Auburn 36 - 0 2009: Beat LSU 24 - 15 2010: Loss to LSU 24 - 21 Compare to Les Miles 16 - 2 record ... one loss to 2009 Bama team Clearly, Saban is the better coach!:yelwink2:
This is the one that matters least in my opinion. 97, 01, 03, 05, 07. All in Brian Dennehy. All LSU victories.
