In all seriousness... We got beat 27-3 in 2003. That margin of victory in a losing effort is very uncommon and that's a game I'll never forget. I'm getting a headache thinking about Matt that day. Bama didn't not cover Clayton that day, AT ALL! Hell, a migraine now that I think about Brodie. I think Brodie completed something like 33% of his passes that day. On top of that, how many guys were drafted off of that 2003 team? It had to be at least half of the starting 22 (O and D.) Hell, on offense I know Clayton was, Addai was for sure. Bowe. There's another one that the Saints pulled but I can't think of his name. I just remember threads about him playing for the Saints and those fans talking about him. I don't follow the NFL past the draft but I certainly remember that 2004 draft having six or seven, maybe eight, players drafted from LSU.
on O, the three you mentioned plus: mauck, flynn, russell, henderson, brazell, davis, green (im pretty sure), vincent, wilkerson, livings, peterman, whitworth. i think thats it for the O. 15. but only 10 had much PT in 03 (not bowe).
Terry I'm impressed, on a side note, the one game we lost 03, one person was missing on D. Missed that one game and we lost it, name that Tiger. Tiger fans it's not fair, you should know this already so you get no credit for a correct answer. And btw, I knew someone was going to mention Laron leading the team in tackles. Craig Loston is no Laron Landry. There is a reason Bama people remember him so well, he damn near ended the lives of 2 Tide QB's on the same exact free safety blitz in different seasons.
I remember that weekend mainly because I was so ticked off about a W over Southern Miss in the early game I recorded the game on the VCR and watched it Sunday morning. I remember it had to be Leak as QB at UF...he was a SR. when they won the NC in '06 so he'd have to have been a frosh that year. The reason he sticks out in my mind is it seems LSU had a dozen sacks that day, though the number was probably around seven or eight. (Normally you'd think that would translate to a win but it seems that game hinged on turnovers) I know it wasn't Lionel: he had a field day (same applies for Laron.) It was that weekend I first noticed how good Lionel was going to be. It seems Lavalais was in on a few of those sacks...has to be a linebacker though considering the context of this thread. Geez, I don't know.
