Chark may be a DB in this class and tagged as an ATH.

Hearing Upchurch could be a possible hback candidate.

Only way I see us taking 6 possible WR is if Williams wants on after all the others are on board. One and done so numbers won't be scrutinized in that sense.

Upchurch looking more like a TE does make it possible to sign the rest with DWilliams coming back into the fold. So yes I can see it, when you look at it that way.

I would like to see 1-2 more RBs in this class, too, but in the 2014 class I don't see LSU taking anyone unless they truly think it's someone who can compete in the SEC as a freshman. Possibly someone will emerge on the radar during his senior year, or maybe LSU can convince a prospect to flip on (or near) NSD. We also might see some 2013 signees (e.g. Jeryl Brazil) emerge as legitimate RBs in Cam Cameron's offense. D. Williams might be the second best RB in Louisiana's 2014 class, but I don't think he projects to be "good enough" for LSU. The dropoff is too much, which is why I think he is not being strongly recruited by other BCS heavyweights. I'm willing to change my opinion, though, after he finishes his senior year.

Cameron Robinson transferred to West Monroe because he wanted/needed better coaching to play at the next level (college). Similarly, I think his decision between LSU and Alabama is where he and his family think he will get the best coaching and experience to best prepare him to play at the next level (NFL). In the long-term, C. Robinson faces a win-win situation, I think, in his two options.

Bhelm, I would not be surprised if JUCO D. Williams waits and commits "after all the others are on board." If not "all," then most of them.

Hard to manage when Les is pulling 10 or 12 out-of-state guys each year. In a year where there are more than 10 or 12 top Louisiana prospects, other teams will take some Louisiana talent that we must leave on the board. And it will be hard to keep Nick away with his extensive contacts here.

But we can't let him take players off the top of the list . . .

If an in-state blue-chip recruit doesn't want to come here then it's best that he doesn't...because his whole LSU career he's likely to be a prima donna acting like he did us a favor by staying in state instead of going to Bama, etc like he wanted. I'd rather let those types go to Bama and fill his spot with someone else who is actually passionate about being a Tiger

To add to that: how many states are blessed with a powerhouse football program? Not many. For example look at North Carolina where we got Gilmore and Neal (UNC, NC State, WF, Duke), Illinois where we got Pocic (U of Illinois, Northwestern), New Jersey where we got Bower (Rutgers), Tennessee where we got Herron (UT, Vandy), etc etc. When guys from a state like that get an offer from LSU, they understand how blessed they are...heck even their local papers are so proud of them for getting an offer to LSU. But our in-state kids grew up their whole lives with LSU being great, and they can get spoiled, take it for granted, and not realize how blessed they are to have been born and raised in a state with a powerhouse football team. So if an in-state kid doesn't want to be a Tiger, i think it's best to give his spot to somebody who does. There is a lot of talent out there, and Bama, etc can't take all of them due to scholarship limits

Is anyone else going to post a prediction of the 2014 class before July is over?
