Fair enough. I predicted a UGA win. And my mistake was that I hadn't watched an entire UGA game and didn't know just how bad they were. I only knew that LSU had no offense, so I assumed UGA could handle the Tigers in Athens. Nevertheless, we're almost at the midpoint in the season. I'm fairly comfortable with my predictions from here on in. Like my Gator prediction. Bullseye, wouldn't you say?
We are all Tiger fans here. Some of you are acting rather naughty, so I am going to have to quote John and try to bring back the love. Sorry...
congrats! you, Las vegas, most of America, Mark May, Kirk herbstreit, etc. really went out on a limb predicting the #1 team in the country, with the longest winning streak in the nation would win. how on Earth were you so insightful?
:geaux: Maybe the staff needs to add you as a consultant or something since you're so smart and seem to have all the answers. At least in your own mind. Miles, Crowton and Chavis should all give you a call first thing tomorrow morning and get the "skinny" on what it takes to be a successful program. I'm really surprised they don't have you on retainer already. Jerk. :LSU231:
It's magic. I've got a book coming out next spring, if you're interested. But really, folks. It's just silly to keep fooling yourselves about the team that you love. You guys are like parents who don't realize the shortcomings of their children. And what happens? The children grow up to be big fat spoiled brat morons addicted to Adderol and Lexapro, and they eventually break your heart. You can cheer your Tigers and be proud of them for great effort and whatnot. But this year's edition just isn't very good. The program is still reeling from the loss of Ryan Perrilloux. It's okay to say it. Maybe one day LSU's offense will be explosive again. Maybe it won't. Doesn't mean you're a bad fan either way. But to think LSU is of championship caliber when they're not just means you're delusional.
And you would abandon your children at this point? I would love my children, hopefully direct them in the right way or vote for the coaches to do such and be happy with the goals they accomplish. If you want to abandon your children, that is a sad epitaph.
I'm not abandoning anybody. I'm just looking at LSU realistically. I'll be tuned in two weeks from now vs. Auburn. And I'll be cheering for LSU.
