My read on the rest of the season, after the bye week:

11/6 Alabama- Both teams will be coming off a bye week, rested, healed as much as one can be late in the year, and ready to go. I like us having home field advantage if the fans will get behind the team and act right (yeah, right!) Bama O vs. LSU D, the match-up is MUCH more favorable than Auburn was. McElroy is not a prolific passer; he's more of the "game-manager" type. We can load the box and put the game on his shoulders on 3rd and long, without worrying about him pulling down the ball and taking off for a 45-yard gain. We have to win in the trenches and then win on 3rd and long, but it can be done. D-line must play better than they did against Auburn. Our O vs. Bama D, they are not as good as Auburn in the Front 7 but better in the secondary. I think we'll be able to run against them, not for 350+ yards, but hopefully enough to have sustained drives. Got to get more relaibility from the quarterbacks and the receivers can't drop anything. It's probably gonna be a low-scoring, grind-it-out chess match. Turnovers and special teams could be decisive.

    LSU 16 Alabama 13

11/10 ULM- Beatdown. They are about on McNeese's level. I think we handle it much better second time around.

    LSU 41 ULM 6

11/17 Ole Miss- Homefield advantage will make the difference. Masoli will present some matchup problems, and the Ole Miss D vs. our O is, unfortunately, strength on strength (their front 7 vs. our running game). But Masoli is no Cam Newton, Jerrell Powe is no Nick Fairley, and Ole Miss just ain't as good as Auburn, Bama, or us. Unless we have six turnovers, 100 yards in penalties, and a complete meltdown (AGAIN!) we win.

    LSU 27 Ole Miss 20

    11/24 at Arkansas

Dangerous game. Again, much better matchup for our D than Auburn because the Razorbacks are so one-dimensional. That said, they will have the most sophisticated and effective passing attack we will face all year. It will be a challenge. Our D is going to have to win the battle and carry us. If they can, I think our O draws just enough blood vs. a bad Ark D to get us the win.

    LSU 31 Arkansas 27

11-1. Ain't nothin' wrong with that. Hopefully Auburn gets stung by "#1 Curse" and an Iron Bowl loss and we slip into the SEC Title Game.

Stupid distinction--same result. We're booing the home team.

Booing is booing and no one knows who you're booing. It's a boo. It's awful.

You can boo the refs. You can boo the opposing team, but you should never, ever, boo Purple and Gold.

Exactly, and even though some may rationalize that they are booing the coaches and not the kids, so it is ok, but the kids take it personal. You are booing their coaches. The people they look up to. To the point that many consider them father figures. As many have come out and made it clear that they would almost walk through fire to make sure CLM and the Tigers are successful.

Boo all you want, but if you are booing the coaches, the kids are listening and they are taking it to heart.

    Alabama-W
    ULM- W
    Miss.-W
    Ark.-L

No idea about a bowl. If Les can find where he left the Sword of Destiny, LSU gets the W. Otherwsie it will be realtively average ending to what began as a promising season.

And Les will be back next year. And the year after. Too much money has to change hands for a different outcome.

We beat Bama at home, in a squeeker... Bama driving for the go ahead TD and Mathieu strips the ball! We recover the fumble and We win in the last 30 seconds with JJ taking a knee.

    win the rest...

nother close one to the piggies... but we win on a fabulous long field goal by Josh the leg Jasper with less than a minute in regulation!
