come down from the ledge Yall need to come down from the ledge...again. We just played a team that has a great shot to be the national champions with a guy who would get my vote for the Heisman. I dont think anyone would have beaten Auburn yesterday. My bet is the team stews over this for the next 2 weeks and comes out with something to prove against Bama. The rest of the season is very winnable. Check out a few of the other so called contenders before the season, Florida, Texas, Ohio State,Oklahoma I saw plenty of gaffes from their coaches this season. I am betting on BCS bowl, which will drive the haters mad as a hatter. LSU!:LSU231:
Agree 100%. I think we match up better against Bama. If I had to pick a game to lose it would have been Aub because of the phucking bammer gumps I work with and deal with on a daily basis. Buck Fama.
Especially going high. I couldn't believe how many times I saw our defenders try to do that. Maybe because most RB's are much shorter, they didn't realize just how big/hard he was going to be to stop- even with being told, hopefully, to go low.
... and I though I was the pessimist. I expect us to lose against Bama and view Arkansas as a toss up. I expect us to finish 10-2 or 9-3.
The constant attempts at 1 handed arm tackles had me annoyed as all kinda hell... I think this defense needs to get back to tackling basics 101.
Pre-season I had us with 1 loss through the regular season and that loss was @ Auburn. I think we win out, and I also think Auburn loses at Alabama in the Iron Bowl. We finish with the same record as Auburn, but they have the head to head so they go to Atlanta, and eventually end up going to the Sugar Bowl. We get an at large BCS bid in either the Fiesta or Orange and end up playing Boise or TCU, and finish the season at 12-1.
I think they'd been coached to go low, because that was the ONLY way to take him down. I saw them successfully go low a number of times, but their habit is to not have to do that.
