If your statement that "true conservatives just want to be left alone" were true then the true conservatives would quit trying to close abortion clinics and stop gay people from having equal rights and protections under the law. I don't owe them shit. get off your ass and learn how to fend for yourselves. there are alot of college instructors out there that can throw book smarts at you all day long but put them in a real life situation and they don't know shit. the state can give you a license to teach but so far all i've seen is a bunch of teachers that when presented with real world problems they don't know shit. you might need to get out of the city to really see what goes in the real world.
How are the poor and middle class abusing anything? How could they afford to abuse anything? All of their jobs have been shipped overseas, the educational assistance that they would normally use to re-educate themselves in order to start a new career is all washed up, they have been labelled the "99ers" because they have had no other recourse but to accept unemployment insurance in order to provide for the needs of their families and people like you want to jab a finger in their face and say, "just get off your lazy ass and do something." All of this while the rich have been getting richer at an incredible rate, faster than at any other time in the history of our country, and it has come at the expense of the middle class because the rich are the ones who shipped jobs overseas to maximize their profits (see Mitt Romney).
