http://sports.yahoo.com/news/cards-coach-arians-wants-peterson-201030679--nfl.html He had a few snaps last year, but they are looking for him to be involved more for this year. Im looking forward to it, should be pretty exciting.
O, D, and special teams triple nightmare. Charles Woodson did that in college, did he ever do it in the NFL?
I always thought PP should be on offense. Speed, athleticism and great hands. That's why I think people are underestimating Avery. He needs to hit the gym like his brother did. PP did pretty well on defense though.
I don't understand why PP would do this in today's NFL. He doesn't need to prove anything and I doubt this is going to get him significant more $ than he is going to get otherwise. I see this as just putting him on the field for more plays, thus shortening his career.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Generally speaking, if you do too many things, you don't do anything well. Or, as Cane's puts it, ONE LOVE!
DB's are a plus in the NFL, look at what they pay them. Look how long most last. Ryan Clark from LSU is one, Corey Webster is another. Two LSU players that have had major time in the NFL.
PP has the talent to go both ways in the NFL. However, I have to agree that he needs to concentrate on one area and excel there! I would much rather see him delivering hits than receiving them. More for the career longevity aspect.
It seems like they may be transitioning him away from punt returner especially since they have TM7 and Arenas now. I don't mind see him playing offense as long as his routes don't put him in danger of getting lit up. Last year I saw him run some out routes to the sidelines and I was okay with that. Wouldn't mind seeing him get some TD's offensively too. I wish people would start punting to him again, he's cursed from his amazing rookie year returning punts.
