This was up there with the no touchdown call in the Iowa/Indiana game, except with bigger ramifications.
Absolutely terrible call. That would've been an interception even in the NFL. SEC has made it blatantly obvious they wanted Florida-Bama in the SEC Championship game no matter what.
Week after week SEC teams have been getting hosed by the replay system. I'm starting to wish they would just do away with replay in the SEC because they have missed far too many calls that a 5 year old could make.
Since the injuries didn't count us out, the refs had to finish us off with this call. I am not mad about this call anymore, but I'm still pretty upset about it.
i actually take solace in knowing it takes us playing pretty undisciplined, having our starting qb, rb, and best corner in CFB out of the for the game, or at crucial points in the game, playing against the officials along with being on the road against a really good team. I like what i see Tigers. There is no reason to hold your head down. This team is definitely one of the 5 best teams in the nation.
Interesting thread about the SEC officiating over at WeAreSC.com - USC Trojans Football, Basketball, and Recruiting . Dear LSU fan - WeAreSC Forums This from USC fans, who are not known to be our biggest fans. I check them out for a less emotional opinion once in a while. I agree with them on this one...
:geaux: That was a definite NFL interception with both feet in bounds and control of the ball. It's horrilbe and incredible at the same time that the play wasn't reversed and ruled an interception!:nope: I agree that didn't cost LSU the game by itself, but I wish we would have had to the chance that Peterson's interception would have provided. Even if we scored a FG as a result, could have totally changed the complexion of the game. We will never know though. Time to move on.:thumb: :LSU231:
