You listed NUTT as on of your Top 25 Coaches. Here is 12 Years of Houston Dale Nutt's SEC Coaching: 51-47 in SEC play. A 92-56 Overall Record *Averages 4.25 Wins & 3.91 SEC Losses per season * Had 2 Losing Seasons at Arkansas in his 7th & 8th seasons (2004 & 2005) *No SEC Championships, 2 SEC Western Division titles - both ending in SECCG Losses & Bowl Losses. *Nutt has a a 3-5 Bowl game record *Has fielded a total of 4 ranked teams in 12 seasons in the SEC Do you consider 51-47 in the SEC a good record? I personally thinks it's very poor. At the moment, Nutt does have a 3-2 edge on Miles. His 1 game "Domination" will end next season. Miles has easily trumped anything Nutt has done as an SEC coach & in 5 seasons, not 12. Miles SEC record is 28-14, not 8-8. You need to combine 2008 & 2009, for your agenda to work. Unforunatley, that is not the real deal. I could take Nutt's 5-11 combined 2004 & 2005 SEC record, shake my fist at the wind, and ask you why the hell you would have a losing coach in your Top 25 Coaches. See how that works now? Right....that's why people look at the entire body of work.
who cares how high or low a coach is ranked in a poll??? I know I don't as long as we win games! Right now the only poll I care about is my happy poll after the Cap One Bowl!! Will I be happy on Jan 2nd?? cliff:miles:
i stopped reading when I got to Ferentz what is everyone's infatuation with this guy? he coaches in what many perceive to be a weak conference. he's never won the conference outright. has taken his team to 1 BCS bowl in 11 years (and got spanked in it) has lost 4 or more games 7 times in 11 seasons
he has pink visiting locker rooms, that's gotta count for something. i shoulda put ferentz on my list too but i think iowa is a difficult place to win so i didn't. he does seem like a guy who is more respected than he should be. the anit miles so to speak.
I stopped one ahead of you NUTT really?!?! Yea he seems to have it out for us year after year but that is about all he has in him. He is mediocre at best all year then he plays us and gives us his game of the year. Now if he could play his team up like he does against us every year then maybe. Some of the others on that list are laughable as well. Carroll, Stoops, Brown? ok not so much. Yea I know some one will say well Brown has his team in the NC this year. Well he damn near screwed that up. Also I have never seen a team, short of ND or USuCk that is so highly ranked each year, screws it up on a no name team and then is highly ranked again the next year. Kind of ranting now but we really need a playoff system and no rankings until like the 6 or 7th week. Just me thinking out loud. :tigerhead
