Potential SEC Expansion Thread

I think you gotta keep Auburn and Bama together, that's one of the greatest rivalries we have. I'd swap Tenn. and Auburn on your list and see how that works.

 

If that happened the SEC would be so superior to the rest no one could touch us. The negative is that with that kind of lineup noone would ever make it to a BCS championship game. Of course with that as a SOS a 2 loss SEC team could be considered stronger than an undefeated team from any other conference.

 

i started to say, tech is not an sec fit, imo. and if we pick up, i would rather it be only one for each division, or two total and realign the divisions.

 

He has both OU and Texas Tech. Did you want the order reversed?

Screw the BCS, college football is so stupid, with super conferences they could create a 6 team playoff and still keep the bowl games in place and make quadruple the money they make from the BCS system.

See the thing is, if we do go to super conferences, to me that would strengthen the chances of us seeing a playoff in Division 1. i totally agree with you.

 

4 16 team "BCS" or whatever you want to call it conferences

2 8 team divisons per conference

Conference Championship Game

We've had 8 teams compete for 4 spots, now we have 4 teams left. Seed them 1-4 and have 1v4 2v3, then a championship game.

It's the playoff system we've always wanted.
