I get the feeling they won't even be noticed. I haven't even read the blogs.. and it screams "sour grapes" at me. Now.. if LSU/OSU fans boycotted that would be much more convincing.

I enjoy the system.. as flawed as it is. It makes every game important.. if there's a reasonable way to keep every game important -- and add a playoff system. Hell, i'm in.

As a Big Ten fan...I must say that I and many others wish Jim Delaney would commit career seppuku. As for the Rose Bowl, it used to be a good bowl game with good events and it was very exciting. Not anymore. The RBC is too busy with their heads up their bums to really give a crap...and it's driving fans away, this one included. As far as I'm concerned, the Rose Bowl can cease to exist if they really feel that way about keep "tradition"......the Rose Bowl game this year, for example, was a travesty and if I was Ron Zook, I would have declined that invitation...money or no money...simply on convictions that there are better teams out there, and that this system is broken.

And let's be careful where we throw that overrated term at.......yeah, Illinois, our #2 (tie) team, got the literal crap beat out of them by the Pac-10 Champ USC...there's a surprise....I believe this is Illinois' first bowl game since 2001 and Ron Zook's first with Illinois, so I'm not surprised....they were VERY nervous....and let's not forget the aerial shot of the stadium that was 65% USC fans, 35% Illinois...if that. Then, Michigan, our other #2 (tie) team....beat the ever living daylights (stats wise) out of the SEC #4 (tie) team, Florida...if it wasn't for a few turnovers, that game would have been much, much worse for Florida. We could go into the Tennessee game, a #2 team versus our #4 team, Wisconsin, and how Tenn beat them, but not as badly as one would think, (stats 431-347 total yards, 21-17 final score)....not nearly as bad as the UM/UF game, but you know the story there.

Face it, the Big Ten and the SEC aren't as different as people would think......and I may be a huge LSU fan (GEAUX TIGERS, BEAT THE BUCKEYES!!!!!).....but I'm also a Big Ten fan...and considering the scope of tonight's game, and I'm certainly not putting all of my eggs in a basket.

For all of you buckeyes, what do you think about this and in particular the rose bowl? Would you rather have a rose bowl or a semifinal/final situation in college football? That's what it boils down to. Other conferences certainly don't understand the history standing in the way of progressiveness but maybe you guys can explain.

First, if your scenario did happen, the BCS would be more of a laughing stock than it is today.... if a #1 or #2 USC was playing a ranked, say, tOSU, it would be a huge draw against any other two teams playing at the same time.
The reason: the BCS would be back on par with the AP.

Secondly, on a four team playoff. Just look at this year. Right now folks would say it should be LSU, tOSU, USC and Georgia. Where's West Virginia?
And given the four teams would have been picked in early December, where's Oklahoma, where's Hawaii (okay, I'll give you that one).

Why would any conference okay a playoff that excluded their champion?

Georgia played a team that beat Washington.
Washington was Ohio State's toughest out of conference game this year.
