I think something like 1 point for each tackle, 5 for each sack or forced fumble, 10 for each INT or fumble recovery would be fair. It may make defensive players a little more expensive, but it would be nice for them to count for something besides defensive touchdowns. One more thing, why are defensive players given the stipulation of 'defensive td's only'? If we have the foresight to see that a defensive player may score an offensive or special teams touchdown, why shouldn't we get credit for it?
I too would like to see a little bit more sophisticated league next year, but I think the problem this year was that calculating the detailed scores you mention was more than Scott and DD wanted to tackle this year.
