Worked for Miami for 5 National Championships. I don't think LSU has any more problem recruits than the average and less than teams like Florida State. Some kids who are great players may be borderline on the thug scale but how many like that have benefited from being on a team and have turned their lives toward the positive? Give a kid a chance and if he still doesn't get it then kick him off the team.

The only beef I have with Frank Wilson is that he hasn't recruited enough quality linebackers to maintain depth at the position

    2011: S.E.C. 8-0. 2nd in Final AP.
    2012: S.E.C. 6-2. 14th in Final AP.
    2013: S.E.C. 5-3. 14th in Final AP.
    2014: S.E.C. 4-4. Unranked in Final AP.

Yes, there can be no denying the facts. It's a steady decline in the S.E.C. record, National Ranking and Perception.

Were not currently an "Elite" program in reality, but certainly are in the minds of a few die-hard L.S.U. "Sunshine Pumpers" and "Sand Headers."........................

I would say we have elite recruiters and elite talent though.

We are basically Hendrick's racing team with Stevie Wonder driving the car.

If Harris wins the job at LSU, look out

If sophomore quarterback Brandon Harris wins the starting quarterback job at LSU, and he’s ahead right now, then it’s the opinion here that the Tigers’ 2015 season takes on another trajectory.

There is little doubt that LSU, top-to-bottom, has one of the top rosters in the country. On offense, the Tigers are talented and deep at wide receiver and running back and once again have a formidable offensive line.

The issue, as it was last season, is quarterback.

Harris looked lost as a true freshman and “most of the time” starter Anthony Jennings (who was suspended this summer and apparently passed by Harris) basically is what he is- a guy that perhaps won’t lose you a game, but isn’t going to be a difference-maker in a proactive type of way, either.

Harris is a different story. The issue with him was learning the LSU offensive system under coordinator Cam Cameron. If you don’t know the plays, you aren’t going to look very good, no matter how talented you are.

From all accounts, Harris now knows the plays.

This means LSU goes from being average as a bowl of grits (with one tab of butter, no additional toppings) at quarterback to having a gifted, athletic playmaker under center with a strong arm.

Just knowing the plays doesn’t mean Harris won’t make mistakes, but he will more than make up for it. He’s the guy that when all else fails can take off and gain yards- big yards- in the run game. He’s the guy that can scramble, scramble, scramble and then find a wide open receiver by extending the play. He’s the guy that opens up the play calling to a variety of plays- both running and passing- and can drive a defensive coordinator nuts.

He’s a guy that brings LSU from “fairly easy to scheme” to “very difficult to scheme” given the talent level at the rest of the positions on offense.

“It’s time for Harris to take the reigns,” SEC Network analyst and LSU alum Anthony “Booger” McFarland said on Wednesday. “He’s worked with the receivers all summer while Jennings was suspended.

That’s true and if that ends up being the case, I will be eating a ton of crow when it comes to my preseason prediction of the Tigers No. 6 in the SEC West.

Some may question how the presence of one player could make such a difference. Well, it's the most important position on the field and combined with the fact that there is little margin for error in the nation's toughest division, one "X factor" can make a huge difference.

Harris isn’t just a game-changer, he’s a season-changer and as long as he can win the job, it’s going to be a different type of deal in Baton Rouge this season.

Picked 9-3 as LSU's record for 2015. The tough SEC west teams might prove this record correct if our d-line cant get pressure on opponets and our qb play is average..Hope i'm wrong..Go Tigers

    Everyone list your losses...

I think we lose to Auburn, Ole Miss, Alabama, and South Carolina. I think they are all very close games though. Auburn is the curse of the day game. i don't think we lose any by more than 10 points, and to be honest, if this is how it pans out, I won't be that disappointed. I just want to see some improvement from the qb, and defensive line. South Carolina is due and that's the only reason I picked them to win.
