    And if that succeeds, then the Dems are REALLY screwed. DeSantis walks away with it in 2024. With Trump ineligible, the right will 100% coalesce behind DeSantis. It will be about the state of the country vs mean tweets and cult of personality attacks. The independents and liberals will have no reason to stick with the far left once the fear of Dictator Trump is removed. They need a very wounded Trump, but not an ineligible Trump.

    To be precise, there is no federal law that would make him ineligible. But if they can get him convicted of a felony, that would nullify him from being on the ballot in most states.
