no on a general basis. reagan inspired and made americans feel proud of their country. that we led not followed. ive relistened to many of his speeches. he was pretty awesome and awe inspiring. we need someone to uplift this countrys spirits as well as jumpstart the economy. he did both. you never worked so you dont understand real world struggles. you and obama have that in common.
What does it matter how the people feel or if they are inspired? They can depressed and anxious and as long as corporate taxes are lowered the economy hums. Policy is the only issue.
because it fucking matters. if you feel inspired by someone it makes your outlook completely different. you can have a shitbag of a boss and if you make money it still sucks. if that same boss inspires you its more important in your daily grind and your happiness than simply making money. a global leader can do so exponentially especially as proud americans which you obviously arent. as i said, i know you dont get it. its much too nuanced for you.
Take a look at the global economic freedom index. It correlates with national success, not so much the charming inspiring leaders index. Hugo Chavez and Vladimir Putin inspire their people
