Ole siss, they are going to disappoint a lot of these top 25 list makers. They have one good season about every 15 to 20 years. They are getting all the pub from one upset win over Florida last year. Do you really think they could do it again pffftt.....not!

see that might be the thorn in their side this season is a schedule that is not as tough as the last few years. TCU usually plays a Texas, or OU, but i think their toughest game this season will be their opener against Virginia.

I wouldnt be surprised at the end of the year to see Boise and TCU undefeated, Texas, OU in the same situation withe Oklahoma State playing the Texas Tech role of this past season, Ohio State undefeated, and an SEC team with 1 or 2 losses.

Like i said earlier, LSU could possibly have to beat the Gators twice this season, has any team ever beat the defending national champs twice in one season?

We very well could end up playing a Boise St or a TCU in the Sugar Bowl this coming season. Make our BCS record 5-0.

How come every now and again random stuff about Houma gets thrown into a thread?

Houma is awesome. What other city has residents called Houma Sapiens?

They beat us like a drum last year, too. Ole Miss has a long way to go to be considered a perennial contender, sure . . . but the last 20 years don't really mean squat. Ole Miss will be a damn good football team this year and will contend in the West. It's a mistake to underestimate them.

They are much like the Saints, an occasional good season to get your hopes up and then back to the bottom. Go to Vegas and underestimate them every time, in the long run you will come out a big winner. They may indeed have another good season, but all this talk about ole siss becoming a program to be reckoned with is hilarious.:rofl::rofl:

We were NOT a good team last year, and by the time we met Ole Miss, we bordered on pathetic. We will rebound in '09, and I'm really anxious to see how the Rebels fare. They have a good QB, but they lost TWO first-rounders off of their lines.

thats a good point, Michael Oher and Paria Jerry are going to be tough to replace. Ole Miss will still have a good front defensively but their secondary was the worst in the SEC last year. We absolutely cannot let Houston Nutt beat us 3 years in a row.

Ole Miss starts a good bit on defense and they bring back Hardy. If he stays healthy, he'll be tough to contain. I look for them to be decent (.500 +/-) until Snead goes.
