It should change the fans. Who knows who they are booing anyway? "I'm booing the coach" is a poor excuse for booing your own team in your own stadium. The bums cheered when Lee got hurt last year, were they cheering the coach for taking him out? :rolleye33: You're not listening to the players. They have been vociferous about it. They hate the booing and they take it personally.
oh i think he can, but right now against a team like tenn for a warm up, it's a risk i'm willing to take. the reason you won't see lee this weekend is because tenn is so hapless on defense lee will torch them and jefferson won't see the field again this season if he comes out on fire against the vols. miles doesn't want a qb controversy (too late) but lee would have to start UF if he plays against tenn (considerable snaps that is, not 1 series) and i just don't think that's what miles wants. who knows we'll see.
I'm not advocating the booing no matter what the cause or who it is directed towards, I'm simply pointing out the facts. If you can't deal with the facts just close your eyes and clock your heels 3 times. If the players hate the booing so much maybe they should hold a meeting with Miles and screw his head on tight for him, because as long as he is coaching from lala land the fans are going to boo, like it or not.
What fact? That you THINK the fans are booing the coaches and not the players? That's kind of naive. There are people booing the players too, Chief.
Of course there are, never said there wasn't. Just like a small percentage of the fans in TS are A-holes like some opposing fans claim. However if go to the games and talk to large amounts of fans there, at work and other places you can easily see that the lions share of the boos are directed towards the coaching staff. It's really not that hard to see.
Right now, I'd almost take our chances with another QB (Lee or otherwise) with anyone on our schedule. We've got a train wreck coming soon (Florida and beyond). As soon as someone successfully exploits the fact that we have no passing offense, the team will get frustrated and the wind will be gone from their sails. Miles, to me, seems to be the only person in the stadium that has any confidence in Jefferson now, and that's including Jefferson. PP has almost as much yardage in 4 games as Jefferson. JJ has more int's than TD's this season so far. JJ hasn't thrown a TD in 3 games. JJ still holds the ball too long JJ hasn't broken 100 yards in a game since the NC game. Yadda yadda yadda.. the list goes on. The list goes on and on.... My question to Miles is, "How bad does the QB play have to get before you do something about it?"
Any booing of our own team, in our own stadium, is ridiculous. Period. I don't care if it's the coaches warranting the boos or the players or both or the fact that adults like to act like spoiled children. Enough is enough, already. But it did give me a good chance to explain chit-poor sportsmanship to my two daughters the other night.
