I sure as hell hope not... I'd take Lee any day. At least with Lee the OFFENSE was putting up points.

Double edged sword. I know it seems like I'm flip flopping. I'm trying hard not to. My contention, to be clear, is that at this point, I don't think Lee could do worse. Just remember though...we put up points when Lee was in there because we HAD to throw a bunch...because he put up points for the OTHER team too.

And to COTiger...I am going crazy, yes. But I actually DO think Miles makes the change...next week. The Tennessee game is the perfect time to try Lee out. I'm know I'm giving Les more credit than he's due, but I just have a feeling that he makes the change. He was VERY close to doing it last night.

Les Miles: (on booing Jefferson) "It's not conceivable to me. I promise you this: that guy goes to work, he goes to the coffee pot and complains about the coffee. And he didn't make the coffee."

Actually that's another bad sign that Miles just doesn't get it. 99% of the fans were not booing Jefferson, they were booing Miles and Crowton. The many many comments I heard through out the game acknowledged that JJ was having an awful game, especially in the 2nd half. However the blame was being put entirely on the coaching staff.

Im with you fish. The perfect game for JL to get some playing time is against TN. At this point, it cant hurt to try him out. I think we'll see him some. I have been hoping for JJ to get it going this season. I have been on the JJ band wagon until this game. It was just plain bad. And the option..... just because a guy can run doesnt mean he can run the option. There was one option play where one WVU guy stopped the option - he went to JJ - JJ made the pitch - that same guy tackled the running back. How can that happen?

And one thing I noticed about the WVU game was that when JJ was on the sidelines, no one encouraged him in the least. He walked right through the middle of players - not one single slap on the back or high five or word of encouragement. And I think TT was happy to see JL come in - like he played with more energy - guess he thought he might get a chance to make a play.

Did anyone notice that when JL came in and he was in the huddle, it looked like one of the players said something to him and he got a big smile on his face and he looked up...right before his first play. I bet it was something like "all these people are cheering for you." I dont know that, but that is what I imagined.

I guess we'll know something when someone who gets to watch practice can see if JL is getting more reps. :geaux:

That's not how the players hear it.

That's bad if the players think the fans are booing them, but it still doesn't change the fact of who the fans are indeed booing. If you saw the reaction of the OL on the last couple of drives they seem to be getting equally frustrated that the staff is sticking with JJ. I think most of the guys are smart enough to know what's going on. I also bet most of them would have made the change early in the 2nd half. You're not giving the players enough credit for having a brain IMO.

Trying to carry this analogy to the point Miles would make, that even though everyone hates the coffee and is biching about it, at the end of the night, it was still winning coffee......but I can't seem to come up with one.

Fact: back in the early 80's the Saints were playing at Cincy. One of the o'linemen needed a bathroom break, and the coaches wouldn't give it to him; late in a close game and they needed him. Nature didn't run the 2:00 drill very well, and this guy played the final drive with some extra seat padding. At least they won the game, but he could not have been very popular on the ride home.

he took a bathroom break. thats why he sprinted. then they said he was limited due to cramping again or injury.

so no ones sure what happened after he went to the can. if he was really hurt why was he sprinting.

i didnt recall him back there after, either. thought he was benched.

they had this nfl special a few years back on regular tv. it showed during games where players just piss themselves throughout the game--namely linemen- since theres no time to run to the lockerroom. sometimes theyd hold up parkas and go on side of the field.

but guys like warren sapp would just piss themselves at the line of scrimmage. hence the nickname stinky.

i was shocked and didnt really want to know this information.
