Holy mother of God. The prospect of beating down USC, with Kiffin and Yaw-yaw both sucking it down big time. Is it humanly possible to pack any more epic awesomeness into a single event? I submit to you that it is not, my friends.

USC has nothing to lose in that situation, all they are trying to do is stay in the media as best they can. I say do it anyway and spank the hell out of them.

These 2 programs are shells of what they were 6 yrs ago. Completely different programs top to bottom. Fun for the fans though.

One of the most memorable games I have ever been to was my freshman year in 1979. LSU vs USC. We lost, 12-17, but the Tigers left it all on the field. We had no business even keeping it close in that game. The fans were so impressed with, and appreciative of the effort, that they gave a standing ovation to the team well after the game was over. I mean nobody left when the game ended. Everyone just stood and clapped and cheered. We all knew that the team had given everything they had and then some. That team wasn't nearly as talented as many I have seen since, but man did they have heart. I would love to see an LSU vs USC matchup that came anywhere close to being as good of a game as that one was.

I was there. It's STILL fresh and SWEET in my mind.

Seeing all those once happy Domers with their big ol' frowns was GREAT.

I remember that game. I graduated a year before that. There were some phantom calls against us that game that spoiled it or we might of won. An inadvertant facemask on a sack on 3rd and long late in the game gave USC a first down comes to mind.
