The same can be said for those who continue to defend him in the face of such adversity. Regardless of the sarcasm, my shared observations and the corresponding viewpoints should not be likened to any sage wisdom.

I guess one broken record leads to another, if you know what I mean.

I teach middle school girls who are less dramatic than you've been the last couple of days. "Such adversity"? What?

Wait until we lose a few before we resort to calling winning ugly "such adversity."

If you truly wish to witness adversity, may I suggest following Arkansas for a few days?

Maybe it will take heightened state of drama among the fan base to actually initiate even minor changes. Forever toiling in the bowels of an offensive abyss doesn't satisfy everyone, especially with LSU's potential.

Transitioning into a state of perpetual offensive mediocrity would even be quite an improvement for this team. I guess even that's too much to ask.

Besides our RBs and OBJ, who on our offense has all that much potential? If they have it, they aren't showing it, and they've had ample opportunity to do so--even against the cupcakes.

And the fanbase isn't going to initiate any changes, so getting all dramatic really isn't going to accomplish anything.

I almost put "talent pool" in place of potential. I think that more appropriately describes the situation. Only putting forth the opinion that LSU is not playing anywhere near the level that they are capable. Their roster should enable them to run at least a mediocre/average offense. We are in agreement that the fan base definitely will not initiate any changes.

And we are actually running better than a mediocre/average offense. But everyone looked like crap Saturday night.

It's true. I just looked it up, and we're number 47 in the country in total offense, solidly middle-of-the-pack. Passing efficiency is 34th, rushing offense is 18th, and we're 24th in scoring offense. That last one is in the top 25% of the country, and is arguably the only offensive stat that counts. Of course, the defense and ST plays a role in that, what with field position and whatnot. Incidentally, good field position tends to hurt your total offensive yards, which is food for thought.

I know it looks like smashed ass when you watch it live, but it's certainly not below average. If not for turnovers, this offense is dangerous, even with its shortcomings.

Incidentally, the immortal Bama is 65th in total offense, Florida is 60th, and SCar is 59th. In scoring offense, Bama is 20th, Florida is 50th, and SCar is 33rd. I'd say our offense is comparable to the strongest of our competition.

Edit: I have to add that I believe it could be better with a dedicated, experienced OC, but what we have isn't broken enough to warrant fixing...which can be viewed as a good thing or a bad thing.

It's amazing how much complaining goes on and our team is 5-0 and went 13-1 last year and is the current sec champions... Yes les is human he will make mistakes. It is just a game not life or death... But imagine if we were auburn two years from a nc and we were 1-3....

The we hate les crowd will never be happy. Unless LSU wins every game by 50 he will always stink.....

I just don't get the need to bash the coach that has given us LSU fans so much, he ain't perfect I get that. But we will never appreciate what we have and had until we become LSU of the 90s again.....

No coach is perfect. Les doesn't fumble, les doesn't blow blocks. He doesn't coach that, he went 13-1 last year undefeated regular season. The man knows how to coach..

I know I am a les homer and sunshine pumper.. Whatever

There is a constructive way to be critical of this offense and of Miles, Stud, etc... But the whole run out of the stadium with your hair on fire screaming the sky is falling approach is ridiculous. Fire Miles, he sucks, blah blah blah. You remind me of the tea party, you've taken what was once a kind of nutty group and gone bat shit crazy.

In reality if you were to actually speak with me in person you would immediately see that I'm really devoid of drama. I just calmly discuss the topic at hand. Perhaps I should work on more closely mirroring that. I didn't say fire Miles. I know I have in the past. But, if we don't see any improvements how long should he be given to continue on like this?
