If the election were determined by popular vote, Trump would probably have won that too, without even tailoring his campaign for the direct vote. Lots of Republicans didn't bother to vote in CA & NY because it didn't matter. However, there was quite an effort to flip Texas, however a pipe dream that was. Bring it.
Had nothing to do with what the other dude said. Was an interesting take on it, I disagree but whatever. Mark Levin though, he is fun to listen to because I know I'm gonna catch that episode when his head explodes on air and I'm gonna giggle.
I don't think that Hispanic always equals blue. The state government here is popular with the vast majority of the populace.
You can disagree but that doesn't make what he said wrong. What Levin said is 100% spot on truth. You can disagree you can get angry and kick your cat, light your hair on fire and punch the mailman and he will STILL be absolutely correct.
I would prefer to eliminate the electoral college but I'm really not all that gung ho about it. But here's the deal... the reality of the situation is that some dipshit racist in Wyoming has about THREE times the power in a presidential election than I do. I'm generally OK with upholding my side of that deal if people in Wyoming and Nevada, et al, uphold theirs. So, what in the world am I talking about? Well, in the past couple of years we've seen people like the Bundy's and their militia and others in those low population states demand a return of Federal lands to state ownership and management. To which I reply "not just no, but HELL no." The deal for the admission of those places into our Union, and with it their disproportiately large representation in our government, was LAND for Federal uses. So in the future, when you're bound to hear these land demands again from the likes of Cliven and Amon Bundy, just remember that those cretin bastards have about a TRIPLE voice in our election over yours. They need to honor the bargain.
I mean, look at the map of blue vs Red counties that voted. It is hugely disproportionate. Its why states have the power they have left.
Keep talking like that. It will only get worse for the left. States should have the power. Can you give a reason as to why the State should not? Thats just False. Go back to sleep.
No, that's not correct. It's only true of SOME of the founders... those from smaller states, who withheld their support for a new Constitution until the Electoral College was devised as a compromise. And it's not a valid argument for keeping the arrangement, anyway. If it no longer serves this country fairly then there's no good reason to keep it.
