It was tough, to watch, I only did because it was the only time it's ever happened.

Tough to watch for lots of reasons. Why is he even addressing Congress? Is there any place else on earth where someone who heads up a corrupt organization can come in and criticize the people who extended the invitation in the first place? His English is horrible.

I did chuckle when he started in on the selling of weapons and the killing of innocents and the camera panned to the Joint Chiefs. Then the camera moved to congressional lawmakers who didn't know whether to clap out of civility or do nothing in case somebody from General Dynamics and Boeing was watching.

Interesting how we moved from being a Catholic nation. ...from Reagan, Thatcher and JPDeuce to Obama, Merkel and now this pope.

Although Obama did sort of slap him in advance. Did anyone see sister Simone Campbell in the audience? Somehow, we managed to find one of 5 pro-abortion nuns in America who got to meet with the pope and watch him speak. Add in a transgender woman and the first openly gay Episcopal bishop, along with at least two Catholic gay activists and it's a party!

Beats me. I've never understood the fascination with priests, magicians, shamans and other "Holy" men.

I haven't seen any of today's speech because I'm at work, but I was also struck by how poor his English is, as well.

Wouldn't a nun who is pro abortion be automatically excommunicated?

He didn't attack capitalism, the only thing he really attacked was the death penalty. And let's not act like capitalism in the United States is infallible. It's just as hokie these days as Catholicism is.
