She's the one that is trying to sell the fact that while making $400K plus, it's a struggle.

Do you know what the median household income is Red?

Why do you keep pretending not to understand that when your debts exceed your assets, you have a net worth of Zero?

Why do you pretend that having a net worth of zero with a household income of 50K is the same as 400K and millions more on the way.

Yea, it is such a struggle sending your kids to the Ivy league and having the government pay you for the rest of your life.

    You are being foolish Red.

This take is almost funny because you are obviously smarter than to believe it. Hillary and her team know damn well that wealth played against Romney and left voters feeling like he couldn't understand or appreciate their problems. She is also not well liked (even if you don't want to acknowledge it) and strategists KNOW she will have to appear "common" to gain trust and votes.

The truth is the Clintons were not "broke" like other Americans are/were broke. Because of who they were, they obviously weren't getting calls from collectors nor were they feeling any pressure from lawyers. "Hillary Clinton had a massive book advance in the works and, along with the former president, the prospect of making millions. This is what fueled cries of hypocrisy." They had MILLIONS inked and of course everyone to whom they may have owed money were clearly going to wait.

And yet given another chance to be honest, she went with, "We pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work," she said." If you have income in the millions, own more than one home, and have no financial worries, you ARE well off. There is also the suggestion that hard work is all that's required. Sounds like a Republican to me.

How about her fundraising? "Her foundation -- The Clinton Foundation -- has also become a bastion for corporate donors. Stephen L. Bing, the founder of Shangri-La business group; Tom Golisano, the founder of Paychex and Cheryl and Haim Saban, Democratic megadonors and the owners of Univision, have donated between $10 million and $25 million." Not your average American.

And Dems are starting to circle the wagons, chiefly her likely opponent, VP Crazy Joe. "Biden, speaking at a forum in Washington spotlighting working families, said he had "a great pension and a great salary" but still understood the various challenges working parents confront.

"I can speak a little bit from my own experience," the vice president said at the White House Summit on Working Families, adding he realized there might be skeptics who question his empathy.

"The first thing you're going to say is, 'Look at Biden, man. He's got a mildly expensive suit on. He's Vice President of the United States of America. He makes - notwithstanding that he is listed as the poorest man in Congress - he still makes a lot of money as Vice President of the United States.' And I do by the way."

"Don't hold it against me I don't own a single stock or bond," Biden continued. "Don't hold it that I have no savings account."

Biden does, in fact, have savings accounts listed on his most recent financial disclosure form, which was released in May. The form, filed jointly with his wife Jill, indicated accounts holding between $1,001 and $15,000 at the Senate Federal Credit Union and the Wilmington Savings Fund Society.

It also included two certificates of deposit valued between $50,000 and $100,000."

He is making sure that voters know he doesn't have ties to Wall Street or any corporate affiliations. Hillary can't say that.

Well, I can add. You have your head in the sand. She said that they were broke at the time Bill left the Presidency. That was because of the staggering debt that you ignore. Once that debt was paid they started acquiring some wealth. Now, what is wrong with that? Their income and net worth has never been a secret.

They pay all government employees for the rest of their life. Phony scandal.

    Scandal? Is that your response?

WHO THE FUCK SAID THIS WAS A SCANDAL?

Hillary made a dumb statement and here you are sucking her saggy tits. You can't even admit that what she said was stupid.

Like I said, 95% of Americans would love to be broke making $400K, have secret service agents, and millions on the way. She tried to act like she was some normal lady.

Whos head is in the sand again?

None of us care how much money she has or makes. It comes with being the 1st lady etc. This thread was about her absurd statement trying to appeal to the middle class. She isn't one of us.

I'm smart enough to understand simple math. When you owe more than you are worth, you are worth zero. We have all been there at some point in our life. You cannot make this go away. You cannot ignore that they had debts far exceeding their income. So they got busy making money to pay off their debts. What the hell is wrong with that? Not a damn thing. It's what working people do. The Clintons money was not inherited like Bush and Romney.

Spin. She is only disliked by Republicans, who fear her, thus all of the mudslinging.

You made this up. How do you know they weren't getting calls from creditors or feeling pressure from the very real debt?

That is why your objection is so lame. They were in debt and worked their way out of it. How does that square with the Republican mantra. Pretty damn good.

Straw Man. What politician doesn't have to raise money? By these new standards you have created for Hillary, what politicians are average Americans? Not a damn one.

More spin. Good luck with trying to make it look like the Democrats are the party of protecting the interest of the very wealthily. People are not stupid. We have seen what happens when the Republicans are in office. The super rich get richer and the corporations get richer while the middle class stagnates.

What are Hillary's "ties" to Wall Street or Corporate America? If you are talking about campaign contributions, then no politician is untied. Not one.

You are trying to make it out to be one. What else would you call it? Faux outrage over Bill's pension. As if all of the other presidents and Congressmen didn't have one, too.

Because it was truthful. You are the stupid one. No style either.

Would they also like a couple million dollars of debt? You can't keep ignoring this, it only makes your argument more ludicrous.

What national politician is? Bill maybe.
