Not to change the subject, but I think the team is being foolish in starting Brees today. There is nothing to gain by risking his health further.
I agree, don't understand this at all. You have a young guy you need to see and an older injured franchise player you need to protect. Coach has to nut up and tell him you're just not playing today.
@TwistedTiger Have to admit, he didn't look hurt in the first half. Still would have been smarter to play Grayson
I agree he looks good, but he's taken some real hits this year. What are the Saints next season without a healthy Brees? I like Coleman, time for Colston to retire before he is crippled for life.
31 TDs 11 INTs 4547 yds in 14 games. That's playing the better part of 3 games injured. He looks far from done to me.
Didn't realize his yardage was so high. Hell if he hadn't sat out the first Carolina game, he'd be shooting to go over 5 grand next week.
Brees isn't the problem other than his salary. However they have a below average DL, horrible DB's and a not so great OL. The Saints came into today's game ranked #27 in rushing at 92.7 yds per game. They came in ranked #31 in rushing defense, giving up 137.1 yds a game. If you can't run the ball AND can't stop the run, you're doomed. Saints need to get better on both lines and then find some DBs.
Drew Brees on one foot has a 135 QB rating. Peyton Manning has to sit for 5 weeks after looking like total crap.
