That's not a dream, that's a nightmare! If Cuban buy's the Astros, then I will have nothing to carry me thru to September
I've always liked the cubbies. One of these days I will make it to Wrigley, it's one of the last historic ballparks left on my list.
If Cuban buys the team, maybe the rainbows will come back. Then mine sitting in the closet won't be a throwback anymore.
Astros only two games out of first. I don't keep up with other MLB teams much these days so hard for me to get a sense of how bad the Stros are now. The optimist in me thinks they have 4 pretty good starting pitchers with a 5th (the 20 yr old dude) ready to jump up from the minors at some point during the season. Bourn has a much better on base % this year, Sanchez seems to be a good #2 guy (I think he should keep the job until he falls off), and the Pence/Lee/Wallace/CJ has potential to collectively be pretty good. Towles has even started hitting in his final audition. Not sure what Keppinger's injury is but hopefully he can come back and take over for Bill Hall. I don't expect them to contend for the playoffs but hopefully can at least stay close enough until football season picks up. Minute Maid is still a nice place to see a game and much much much cheaper than going to a Rockets or Texans game. I like how you can walk around Minute Maid and see the game from so many angles.
Sorry! May I suggest an investment in cryogenics? That way you can be brought back in say 200-300 years if they win a series. Keep the faith and your fingers crossed. We never thought the Saints would reach the pinnacle but they finally got there. I was at Wrigley after Harry Caray died and they had "celebrities" sing. If I recall correctly a former Chicago Bear called out the ump from the booth and was ejected from the park. Classic! :thumb:
