I'm with you all. First thing I though of when I read pom-poms was Auburn. Let's come up with ORIGINAL ideas. Pom-poms are played-out, IMO.
It's not even that they're played out, it's never been in for a guy to shake a pom pom. I've never been in line outside a stadium and heard a guy say, "I can't wait to get in there and shake my damn pom pom!!!!" Then again, I've never been to Auburn or T-town.
Come on are all you men really that insecure about your manhood to shake pom poms? Do y'all really think auburn and bama are the only other teams that do pom poms? It does look pretty cool on tv when they show the stadiums with all the pom poms shakin'.
Several comments: 1. I thought pom-poms went out in the 50's. 2. If you want to hand out cheerleader gear, why not hand out little plastic megaphones so we can yell louder, Tiger Stadium is known for noise. 3. It will be interesting which corporate sponsor will have his name on the pom-poms. I figure "Cox" Communications. :hihi: 4. Some folks around here seem a leeeetle bit insecure in their masculinity. 5. Manly men are going to leave the game with pom-poms hanging out of their back pocket and many little girls will be delighted when they get home.
