If you haven't seen enough from your leader yet, well, stand by... When CFB fans tune in to your game just to hear the half time interview with your coach, um, well, stay tuned.
Actually you should take Mack off the list. He was beat on fairly often in these parts when Stoops owned him a few years back. Then he got a good DC and won a championship. Of course you should read the Austin papers this week. Everyone wants to fire the OC, and Macks a stubborn jerk for keeping him around. Sound familiar. And it seems like their was a good couple of months long Nick roast when he was doing the never leaving Miami lie a day routine. Pete, now theres a stand up guy. I'm sure it's just the coincidence that he hops on the life boat as the Titanic hits the NCAA compliance ice berg. Although its really perfect that Kiffin gets to go down with the ship. Karma is not just a word, it can be a beautiful thing. I'm not defending the game end cluster(s); and I'm not equating Nicks every 5 year lying cycle to the cluster(s). But if you think those guys are pure 100% can't do wrong gridiron gods and Miles is a pure 100% can't do right gridiron idiot; then you just may be a Kiffin class analyst.
you cant fire the head coach at this point even if you think its deserved. could be detrimental to the program unless the timing was perfect. therefore, you shift blame, fire a subordinate, and give fans hope that the HC isnt the primary cause for his own failures on the sidelines. in the end, it buys him time but changes little on the field since the HC was the problem all along. but it does ease pressure from the fanbase, and in turn, extends his tenure and bankroll. then when the truth is finally realized, hes canned and off to a cusa school near you.
