I know this guy and he is a police officer locally. Well this was in the paper the last couple of days, I won't post the article, but here is the scenario. Well this guy was coming home from a bachelor party. He lives in a gated community, so he goes through the gate and was so drunk he hit 5 parked cars and almost ran into someone's house. However, this community is not in the area where he is a police officer. So neighbors called 911 and he called a local police officer that is a member of the force where his house is not the same force he is apart of, now this guy is one of his best friends. The cop friend shows up and radios the other cops that where called and says that the damage didn't warrant any more officers on the scene. His excuse was he fell asleep at the wheel (lol which is bullshyt because he had to wait for the gate to open, then he says he fell asleep between the time he went through the gate and when he hit the cars, which was less than 100ft). He didnt make the guy blow for BAC, all he did was write him a ticket for reckless driving and leaving the scene. Well the other twist in this story is the city where this guy is a police officer his dad is well known and is the assistant to the mayor. I dont like the guy at all, he is a scumbag actually and to get it out of the way, he is black. Cops on the board, is this kind of courtesy to far? Can both of these guys get fired and be put in jail?
That's the kind of bullshyt that gives us bad names. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. And in this case, if the residence make a big enough stink, the helping hand may be cut off. You pretty much gotta prove all of it, though. And a DUI after the fact is out of the question. One of the guys that no longer works with us did something similar to this, but a little worse. It's a stupid thing to do and it's stuff like this that can give ALL police officers a bad name. idiots.
i was waiting for one of our law enforcement types to answer. but my layman's opinion is there is a difference between courtesy and cover up. and when that line is crossed, its not good for the rep of law enforcement over all.
There are some really good cops on that force because a good number of them I consider friends, but this guy is just one of the worst. This isnt the first time he has used his authority in a terrible manner.
It'll creep up and snake bite him sooner or later. The ones that do things like this usually end up in a federal prison because they think they're above it all. I hate pricks like this.
You should see some of the comments on the article, people that know him are blasting him from women to other officers, its quite entertaining.
Don't doubt it. Black eyes like this suck for law enforcement everywhere. It's hard enough getting folks to trust you, because they think all cops are like this.
Yeah. Like what's the big deal about nepotism.? If my Dad's the CEO I damn sure don't expect to start in the mailroom.
