Allison Hightower , a 5'10" guard out of Texas. Ranked the second best player in the Lone Star state class of 2006.

She's a four star recruit according to scout.com.

Haven't heard much about how Olajuwan's daughters visit went. There is some talk that she wants to stay in Cali. I think most people say she'll stay out West.

OK...there's a reason I haven't heard about Olajuwan's visit to LSU...she hasn't taken it yet. Its scheduled for this upcoming week.

The article mentions that frosh post Kristen Morris is doing quite well in preseason practice.

:yelwink2:  Regarding Hightower, depending on which publication you look at she has been rated the 6th or 7th best player in the nation. She should fill the void that will be left when the talented and everyones All American-Simone Augustus graduates. Geaux Coach Pokey. Geaux Lady Tigers. Louisiana is proud of you. I know Coach Sue was proud of you.

    Olajuwan verbals to Oklahoma.

LSU is still in consideration for 6'3" LaTeena Wickett out of Cali but most pundits have her stayin' staying on the West Coast. I suspect that if Pokey is looking to a big, she might go the JC route and try to recruit a high calibre post next year.

If there is one team I'm not worried about at LSU, it's women's bball. The woman can coach, so you could throw her scrubs and she'd put out a good team.
