I don't know. I enjoyed the beatdown of AU. Tulane was a cakewalk. And I was proud of team against Bama and Florida. Some folks are getting so negative about this team that they cannot enjoy the best time of the year--football season. We'll be missing it a couple of months from now.
The network talking heads and sportswriters have that "what did they do last week" mentality; the guys who come up with the lines take everything into account, not just the last game. They don't just arbitrarily come up with a number.
This is one game I would not bet on. You may as well just flip a coin. If we knew who will start at QB for LSU and any clue as to what game plan we will have on offense, it might be easier to pick. If LSU can't move the chains and use the clock, the defense is not going to contain the "wild whatever" for four quarters. I think LSU has more talent but not real confident we can/will utilize it.
Tennessee's D was in turmoil with off the field issues. LSU will bring a focused D with an attitude. They will contain McCluster, and the Tigers will romp. :geaux: lefire:
Who cares what the line is. Often the line is based on results & respect. We really haven't earned a lot of respect this year. If we play well we may win. If we play lousy then we probably lose. We have more athletes so it's strictly on Miles & co. to earn their pay.
I think the main reason is to get more people to pay attention to sports announcers. They're the ones I mostly see predicting us to lose. Other than some of my friends here, of course:grin:
