They did it after the Tennessee game in 2010 and went on to rally pretty well after that. They also had a meeting, I believe, after the 2012 Florida game and won against highly-ranked South Carolina the next week. Our SEC games have been beyond disappointing, but do we fans really need to take a crap on everything?
. It seems that a players meeting isn't all that bad once but if they lose and it becomes weekly you know we're in trouble.
I didn't say they didn't yield good outcomes; rather, they were never a good thing. In simpler terms, when a team has players only meetings it means things are bad.
The way I see it, the entire free world knows things are bad with us right now. There's no hiding that, but I hope it is evidence of our team's fortitude and heart that they are looking to right this ship. Because make no mistake, regardless of schemes and game plans, these guys aren't executing right now, either. A good ration of the blame to go around lands on them, and they are the only ones to fix that. Fortunately, they don't seem half as eager to fold on the season as a portion of the fanbase is.
Wwhen players continue to make the same mistakes over and over its because the coaches didn't properly prepare the for the tasks at hand. Players don't coach themselves. It starts at the top. Les Miles is the CEO. A good CEO makes sure that all of his assistants are doing their jobs. Not just on gameday but from the day a recruit signs his letter of intent the teaching of the basic fundamentals begins. That goes for the coordinators to the position coches dow to the strength coach and equipment managers. Les Miles is not doing a good job of managing the millions of dollars of resources at his disposal
You think schemes and game plans don't affect execution? They can execute all the want when our plays are so predictable that the entire free world knows what we're doing. Like I said after the St game. A premier front 7 with the 120 ranked pass defense but Miles' hard head comes in thinking we'll beat them with our run game. We saw differently the last few minutes of that game, didn't we. Sounds like we have a coaching problem.
This tiger should have been at the meeting. He still has a bite http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...y-owned-notorious-drug-kingpin-racketeer.html
