I honestly think that Jai didnt have as bad a year as most people thought he did, he slipped a few times, but he made some great plays on wr screens this season, and other times as well. I think the fact that Chris Hawkins picked those balls off early in the season, kinda forced malveto's hand in playing him, but i honestly believe that Jai is way better than Hawkins and i am predicting Jai will have a breakout season next year.

:geaux: I hope he does. Unfortunately he hasn't lived up to expectations yet. Maybe '09 will be his breakout year. :LSU231:

Yes, McCoy is a concern if it transpires. He is our biggest lineman by weight. Even if he is beaten out by Shaw as someone suggested, we still need the depth next year because injuries do happen. I am more concerned with our lines rather than the skill positions. The only skill position that may be a concern is QB and everyone knows that situation.

Anybody hear a final update on Francois' grades? I heard he wouldn't be back due to academics more than his lack of playing time.

IMO, Hawkins was slightly better this past season, but regardless - I don't think Peterson will allow Jai to have a breakout season. He took 50% of the reps as a true freshman, the writing is on the wall.

Are you just dying for us to have another QB situation like we did this year with very little depth. I understand the kid didn't perform like anyone would have hoped. In fact down right terrible sometimes. But until we know what RS or CG can do behind center, I'd wrather have him as a backup then another true freshman.

McCoy looked good when he was in the game. He is going to start IMO. Why leave?

True. His departure would make little sense. Hopefully there is no truth to it.

It seems like the Scout poster knows something. Ricky Dixon can be crossed off his list.
