my guess is your surprise is Murphy. I agree its either go pro or stay at LSU for KW. The way he saw the field more towards the end of this season would make me think he may be leaning towards staying. cant see Hatch transferring either
A poster on Scout says: Jai Eugene Ricky Dixon Stefoin Francois Ernest McCoy McCoy is the only surprise to me, and he makes the 2nd LT to leave the team in the past year. Thank god Black is returning, but we need to get someone there that will actually stay on the team!
Hes guaranteed starting position after next year... If anything, I think he should have taken Hawkins job this year. Him and Peterson rotated a lot also. I can't see him transferring. All the rest aren't surprising at all. Mccoy isn't to me because the coaching staff was raving about Shaw, so its not surprising he passed Mccoy on the charts.
Actually it was Duplessis. He looked at maybe going to NW State with Peveto but decided to stay at LSU.
He & Peterson rotated while Peterson was a true freshman. Peterson will improve & take away that PT. And this is past my understanding of football, but for some reason a CB on one side of the field is not the same as the CB on the other side. Jai plays the side that Peterson is on - not the side that Hawkins is on.
It's like being right handed or left handed. Your first step is the tell tell for a corner, and it can be quite a difference in timing from one foot to the other. This has very little affect on some guys, but a lot on others. Just depends on the player.
I hope Eugene stays I think he is a great athlete. I watched him run the 100m sprint his senior year and this guy is scary fast. I wish he was used more in an athlete type role but lsu already doesn't have enough positions and balls to give out. Peterson played like a two year sec corner, but the defense as a whole lacked. Hopefully that problem will get fixed and PP,JE, and CH can play some corner next year because I think our corners can rotate and not miss a beat with some good technique, coaching and inspiration.
