Just a little follow up. I was able to contact a BR sport store and managed to get a jersey with the name and number of a particular player on it.
I had the jersey send to the players' home and got him to autograph it.
(Friend of the family kind of thing, ya know.)
This will be a Christmas gift for my 13 y/o football fanatic son.
He also included an signed glossy photo of him making a tackle in a game.
Yeah, I'm pretty excited. Merry Christmas one and all!

I ordered and received a #18, NC jersey for the 2004 Sugar Bowl.
Of course that was when MM wore that number so you can get a jersey of a current player but it doesn't have the name on the back.
That is fine with me, as it turns out JH is one of my favorite players anyway.

Sports Avenue in Houma currently has a purple #11, and white #'s 18, 9, 5.
Last year, I got a #22 (white) and many moons ago, I got a white #43. Bro-in-law has a white #7, Sister in law has purple #1. Academy has white #1 with the BCS patch on it. I've also seen purple #32 and white #3. Of course none of these have players names on 'em.

Edit: Academy also has (at least had) throwback #20

My daughters each got one as part of their Christmas present back then too and JH is my 10 yr old's favorite player too. Came home from the MTSU game with a poster and said, "Daddy, this one......HE'S GOOD"! :hihi:

I said they all are and pointed out that "This one" (Dorsey) is THE best in the Nation at his position.
