Yeah, it was totally meaningless, and overall the defense was outstanding. I just hated letting them drive 59 yards to score it. I live with these people. Holding them to a single FG would have given me more ammunition. He was, and I'm not a Lee hater. I've been in the camp suggesting he gets more playing time. The other incompletion wasn't terrible, and his only completion on the throw over the middle was quite nice.
Best I can remember is only once. The only time I cursed all night. I hate our option no matter what side of the field we run too.
WHY WHY WHY JESUS GOD WHY does anyone defend Jarrett Lee anymore? First freaking pass he throws SHOULD HAVE BEEN intercepted for an Auburn TD. The dude throws a beautiful ball, but he just does not have the sense when to throw it and when to not throw it. He is a liability when he is on the field. End of story.
That's becoming less and less possible as each year passes, I'm clinging to my 20's with dear life! :hihi: I really didn't think it was that big of a deal, but the crowd would have gone nuts. I still think Lee should get more playing time.
Perfect post to follow. I'm not sure what was going on last night but I had hernia surgery on tuesday. I was laid up with big fat swollen PURPLE you know whats. I'm sold that it had something to do with it. Problem is I will NOT have that surgery again ever. In fact I think I just might go ahead and die before I ever go in for another surgery ever. Glad I could contribute to the win but it is down to rah rah sis boom bah from here on out. Peace:thumb:
Overall I was very, very, VERY happy with the effort of the team last night. I hand it to the coaches for coming up with a great gameplan. The team came out and did a great job of executing it. I seen a lot of progress in the team. Most of all I saw the OL holding their pass blocks. Which allowed JJ to really be set. He really appear much more mature last night. Not scared to throw the ball. Everything was in the flow. I also was very happy with the play calling. The coaches finally let JJ throw. Not just the typical, predicatable short passes. I know Crowtons style is a lot of shorter passes and allowing the receivers to make plays. LSU went down the field which is something thats been needed. It was also great to see Shepard getting some touches. Id like to see him get a few more plays at WR. I dont like the drops from LaFell, Toliver, and Shepard though. THe OL still cant run block worth a crap though. Which we will some running against Bama and the better teams. The D was lights out. Peterson better be first team All American because he is a true shut down CB. You dont hear his name because teams dont even think about going his way.
