I wanted to start this thread mainly because of what happened today. On a blog that I read daily, nunesmagician.com, a poster wanted to help out and make sure that they can get as many fans to the game as possible. He had the idea, and time, to organize a massive donation effort to get money raised to send under-privileged kids to the game. Let's Donate Some SU - Pitt Tickets - Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician After about 6 hours we were able to raise over $1000 to send 32 kids and 4 chaperons to the game, with tickets, parking passes, "orange out" T-shirts which were designed by another member of the blog, and food/drink coupons. To me at least, it's incredible that they were able to raise that much money in such a short amount of time(less than 24 hours before kickoff!). Especially since it's all coming from mostly faceless donations from the internet, $10 to $22 to $44 at a time(#44 and #22 are retired numbers for football and lacrosse). As for the game itself, it's extremely close according to Vegas, as it's a pick'em in most places, with some places giving Pitt +1. It could be extremely damaging to Pittsburgh, as they were picked to win the Big East and a loss tomorrow could put even just their bowl game hopes on life support. Syracuse is currently in 2nd place(as WVU moves into first at 5-1 (1-0)). A win this week could set up a possible Big East deciding game next week @WVU. Hopes are high that they can get close to a sellout. Geaux Orange!
