well i'm sad to hear that, but as we all know losing asst coaches to head jobs are a sure sign that you're program is doing something to get noticed.

And he was the recruiting coordinator. He has done a great job at filling up the roster with talent without many setbacks because of the draft.

#1 recruiting class last year with few losses
Probably only losing 2 recruits from the current class

correct. i forgot to add that most critical part. he is a relentless recruiter always on the move acquiring the best talent not to be drafted.

    this is a killer.

It hurts' but PM is in a better position to hire assistants now than he was when he took the job. I'm sure he will find a quality replacement.

Well, so is LSU just going to be a coaching factory or what? Now everytime we make a run for a National Championship in different sports are the rest of the colleges going to just come and snag our coaches? Not a bad reputation to get, but man it makes it hard to stay at the top when all the pieces of the pyramid keep getting taken away.

On a different note, I wish Coach Terry the best of luck. Better stay focused here for the CWS though, we need him.

Also works in our favor because the top coaches know that if they come to LSU for a few years they will get a boost on the national scene for future head coaching positions.

I say we go after UCI's pitching coach! or Ole Miss has a good one also...
