you don't have to have great mechanics in college football. and jefferson's athletic ability or size has never been a question, it's what's inside his helmet. can we get some brain scan pics? :hihi:

David Carr and Vince Young had very unconventional thrown styles, but it worked on the college level. I hope they let him do what works best now, and at the next level the pro coaches can worry about "fixing" it.

Confidence and experience. If he has those in the right balance, he'll have a great year. He's certainly put in the work from everything I hear and read, and he's got the natural ability.

I'm getting more and more hopeful about QB.

I heard on the radio yesterday that they were running option plays in practice. At least, the guy said it wasn't to the short side of the field.

    Hopefully, it'll be rarely used.

    Come on.

You know you only run the option on the short side of the field. Makes it more challenging.

I read that the scrimmage on Saturday was focused on short yardage, I-formation plays. With "lots of play action". I like that.

Although Pat Peterson got a pick-six off of Jefferson - 49 yarder or something like that.

Can't wait to see how they put it all together. And I agree that the option to the short side is only good for keeping the defense honest occassionally. LSU does that crap WAY more than I think is useful and I don't get it.
