Buckhalter Lamont Jordan Selvin Young Andre Hall Peyton Hillis Ryan Torian JJ Arington All of them had significant playing time last year because of injuries and inconsistency of the others.
this was a shanahan strategy. hes no longer there and this no longer applies. moreno will be the offense with kyle orton taking snaps and handing off to him. i like the smaller guy's, kalukas, toughness more. i think he went in the 4th.
That was Shanahan's strategy when his other RBs went down with injuries and the guys who were supposed to step up didn't but not his strategy for most of his career when he had great RBs for his system ala Davis and Bell etc... We will see if it still applies or not with a new coaching staff and what moves they make on the RB depth this year. Either way Moreno has to compete against a stable of experienced RBs for playing time. So IMO he will not come out of the gates as a dominate RB but he could be a great RB in the following years.
nah it was a shanahan thinking hes a genius and could win with any rb outside of terrell davis. elway made sure he played. same way spurrier does with qbs. its an illness. moreno will be starting soon enough because the new coach needs to establish his identity on offense after shipping off cutler. and it wont be with Orton or one of shanahans guys. you can book that.
