This is all a great help. I can't wait 'til game day! We'll probably switch to gold shirts just because we want to live through the game and aren't particularly fond of BR weather - lots of water for this mountain codger. You'll know we're App fans, though - the mountaineer buttons and face stickers will give us away. Can't wait to meet some of y'all.
I still don't think there are chicks on this forum. There's no talk of what to wear to the game and what lipstick lasts best on game day. Nope. No chicks here.
If you get an a$$ that gets IN YOUR FACE, smile and walk on by. He is not representive of the LSU fan base. He is not worth getting in any trouble with. Matter of fact, if he is in the tailgating community, he will probably get called down by his own fans. Do not be afraid to cheer for your team. You seem very level-headed...........you will probably have one of the best times in your life. These cajuns love life, fun, sportsmanship, and compitition. The players and fans always give their all.....if one is a butt, just walk on by.:thumb: Never forget-------SMILE, GIVE IT, AND TAKE IT. IF YOU ARE FRIENDLY, YOU WILL MAKE FRIENDS. Look for trouble, and you will find it.....same as everywhere else.
Good advice. I find it hard to believe that too many places can be worse than GA Southern. Quick story about them: We went down there two years ago. All the way in we were cussed for everything we were worth. Our row ended next to a GSU section. We were being loud...really loud. No cussing,no negative comments towards GSU...nothing. Their fans went and complained.A few cops came down and told us if we kept it up,we would be kicked out. The people I was standing with? Three friends from App...and ASU Chancellor Ken Peacock:grin:.
I get tears in my eyes when the band plays Pregame. Those first fours notes get me more emotional than any other notes in music. I would definitely recommend getting there early like everyone else has said. It's an experience to remember and you'll want to savor every bit of it. My husband says he's never seen anything like LSU fans and the way they take over a campus, feeding everyone and boozing it up. It's an amazing experience. OH, btw... I used to live in Johnson City, TN and am a fan of Appy State but not on the 30th, sorry. :geauxtige
