This photo says it all. It's like the dude totally accepts the outcome and has no fight whatsoever in him. If we have any shot as doing something this season, he needs to ride the bench for a while. I would rather lose without some kid who leaves his heart on the field than this!
Hes the only dude that did anything last night. If youre upset with his performance you better want to bench every running back and every WR because we simply did not produce running and our WRs didnt help us AT ALL. Asking to bench Mett is like getting mad at your car because you forgot to put gas in it. Stop being a dumbass.
Oh, I know it's more than just Mett. The injuries to the offensive line is definitely our biggest issue right now, and the drops by the WR's are horrible. However, Mett doesn't seem to have any fire in him, and this offense needs some type of spark right now. Trust me, I was never a big JJ fan by any means, especially last year, but you can't deny that during his first few seasons, the offensive players seemed to work harder for him than they did for JL. This offense needs some leadership, and so far, Mett isn't doing it.
Looks more like it to me that he is concentrating on holding on to the ball. How do you get "no fight whatsoever in him" from the photo? More importantly, what is your training in photo psychoanalysis? You must be brilliant AND wealthy! That has to be a specialized field in high demand.
+1 Mett didn't do poorly at all yesterday. Now .. Kadron Boone, otoh, needs to be benched. Surely we have some 6'3-4" Freshman sitting on the bench who needs some catches. If not, I"m sure there's one at a Junior College who would love to come play at LSU. I think our backs are capable .. but we need to mix the plays up a bit more. I mean, when you run game consist of off the right guard, or off the left guard .... at some point, people catch on. Even Ol Piss' offense looked good compared to LSU last night. ATM also. FU, made adjustments and came away with the win. Bajesus ... even AR found a way to score points and win. I'm not going to be suprised if Ol Piss gives LSU a good fight. I wasn't thinking AR would beat LSU this year, but today, I'm not so sure. IF something doesn't change, we are in trouble.
Michael Ford had 4 carries, Hilliard 5, and Ware 8. How can you expect ANY Running Back to establish a rythm, swagger, mojo, whatever you want to call it. If you want to run, ok, run! But, Pick a RB and FEED him! LSU finished with 42 yards rushing, three more than what Alabama held the Tigers to in last season's Bowl Championship Series title game. The Tigers were 1 of 13 on third down and finished with just eight first downs - three because of penalties.
