Based on the title, I thought the cop had shot a dead man. Redundant!

Not outside the realm of possibilities. I mean it could happen right?

So did I but that's how it was so that's how I posted it.

Not redundant, more of a misplaced modifier.

hey you, get out of here with all this logic.....
but i still know how to survive a run in with cops and live to see another day.
And on the other hand, cops have cut me breaks on speeding tickets, white cops at that. Maybe the view me as non threatening.

    but spot on...

Not a response you would give if it happened to you. Don't you understand that the police and others in authority have so much power (especially freedom and incarceration as well as life and death) over the public that they have a responsibility to treat ALL people with restraint? They CANNOT let emotion take control of their action. This girl probably did kick at the cop and was verbally abusive. That is NO justification for the attack on her. She was handcuffed and presented no danger to the cop. He wasn't in any danger but let his anger take control. THAT IS WRONG and there is NO EXCUSE FOR HIS ACTION.
They ARE NOT administrators of justice. That is what the judicial system does. What happened here is an abuse pure and simple.
Supporting police and law and order DOES NOT mean supporting this! Please don't confuse abuse with law enforcement.
